West Ham United are reportedly exploring an ambitious January loan move for Real Madrid forward Endrick, according to journalist Graeme Bailey of Hammers News.

The east London club were among the Premier League’s most active sides in the summer transfer window, recruiting Kyle Walker-Peters, El Hadji Malick Diouf, Callum Wilson, Mateus Fernandes, Mads Hermansen, Igor Julio and Soungoutou Magassa to strengthen their squad.

Despite these additions, a disappointing start to the campaign saw Graham Potter dismissed by David Sullivan, with Nuno Espirito Santo appointed as his successor.

The new boss has already pinpointed the striker role as an area requiring urgent reinforcements ahead of the winter market.

Endrick, who joined Real Madrid from Santos in a £62 million move at just 17 years old, has found it difficult to secure a place in Xabi Alonso’s starting lineup.

With Kylian Mbappe leading the attack and competition for minutes fierce, the Brazilian teenager has spent much of the season sidelined following an injury sustained in pre-season.

Spanish media now suggest Alonso could approve a temporary move away to aid the 19-year-old’s development.

West Ham have maintained a long-standing interest in Endrick, dating back to before his transfer to Spain.

Bailey reports that the club were serious contenders to take him on loan last January and even made enquiries when he first joined Madrid.

“West Ham have tried to sign Endrick on more than one occasion,” Bailey revealed.

“They were near the front of the queue last January and again asked when he initially arrived in Madrid, should a loan have been possible.

Endrick was open to it at the time, though his main goal was to succeed at Madrid.

Now that things haven’t gone as planned, West Ham still can’t be ruled out if he becomes available.”

Currently, Nuno has alternated between Niclas Fullkrug and Callum Wilson up front, but neither has managed to make the position their own.

Jarrod Bowen remains most effective on the right wing, leaving the team short of a consistent goal threat through the middle.

Bringing in Endrick would not only add a clinical finisher with something to prove but also inject star power and global attention into West Ham’s season.
