Everton are reportedly monitoring an “unbelievable” defender who has been making waves at international level following an impressive run of form.
Moyes optimistic despite defeat to Manchester City
The Toffees fell to a 2-0 loss against reigning champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, as Erling Haaland’s brace proved decisive.

According to journalist Graeme Bailey, speaking to Everton News, Everton are among the clubs keeping tabs on Toulouse centre-back Charlie Cresswell ahead of a possible January move.
“Charlie Cresswell is performing really well in France after an excellent showing at the Euros,” Bailey revealed.
“Everton are in the market for defenders in 2026, and he’s one they’ve been monitoring closely.
He fits the mould of the type of player David Moyes admires and is definitely one to watch.”
Cresswell, aged 23, enjoyed a standout summer, helping England’s Under-21 side lift the European Championship, where he started three matches.
Since joining Toulouse, he has continued his fine form in Ligue 1 and has been described as “unbelievable” by presenter Joe Wainman for his composure, strength, and defensive intelligence.
While James Tarkowski continues to be a reliable figure at Goodison Park, his advancing age at 32 means Everton are already looking toward the future.
Signing Cresswell could provide the club with a long-term defensive solution alongside Jarrad Branthwaite, creating a youthful yet commanding partnership.
