Chris Sutton LOSES HIS MIND as Leeds pull off the most INSANE signing of the century – you won’t BELIEVE what he just said!

Daniel Farke Names Several Leeds United Newcomers for Premier League Debuts

Leeds United went into half-time level at 0-0 with Nottingham Forest in their opening Premier League fixture, with Daniel Farke’s side showing encouraging signs during the first 45 minutes at the City Ground.

The match represents the beginning of what many Leeds supporters hope will be an exciting and successful 2026/27 campaign.

After making several impressive additions during the summer transfer window, Farke appears to have assembled a squad capable of challenging for a top-half finish.

However, Leeds’ prospects this season could depend heavily on how quickly their new recruits adapt to the demands of Premier League football.

Three of their summer arrivals were given starting roles against Forest, with James Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic and Harry Wilson all making their competitive debuts for the club.

Before kick-off, former Premier League striker Chris Sutton praised Leeds’ recruitment and singled out Wilson for particular recognition.

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live via BBC Sport, Sutton suggested Trafford could represent an improvement between the posts, while also highlighting Muharemovic’s physical presence at centre-back.

He added that Wilson had been a “fantastic signing”, pointing to the winger’s impressive performances for Fulham during the previous campaign and describing his displays as “superb”.

The first half offered an early indication of what the three players could bring to Farke’s team.

Wilson arguably enjoyed the most promising opening 45 minutes of the trio.

According to FotMob, the Wales international completed eight of his 10 attempted passes and managed two successful passes into the final third.

He also attempted three crosses, completed two accurate long balls, won a tackle and came out on top in two ground duels.

Although the game has lacked clear-cut chances, Wilson has provided Leeds with some useful attacking threat and looked comfortable in his first competitive appearance.

Muharemovic has also produced a composed performance at the heart of the defence. The centre-back completed 20 of his 22 passes and played three balls into the final third, while making four defensive contributions.

His main weakness so far has been aerially, as he won only one of five aerial duels during the opening period.

Meanwhile, Trafford has already been called into action twice, making two saves and recording a goals-prevented figure of 0.33.

Leeds’ record signing has also demonstrated confidence with the ball at his feet, completing 12 passes and registering 24 touches during the first half.

Overall, the three new arrivals have delivered solid performances in their Premier League debuts.

Leeds have yet to find their attacking rhythm, but Farke will hope his summer recruits can make an even greater impact after the interval as the Whites look to begin their campaign with a positive result.
