SHOCKING TRANSFER BOMBSHELL: Newcastle Launch Secret Scouting Mission and Are DESPERATELY Plotting Blockbuster Swoop for ‘ABSOLUTELY INSANE’ Goal Machine Who Will Single-Handedly Destroy the Premier League! You Won’t Believe What Happens Next!

Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for highly rated Watford forward Othmane Maamma following a recent scouting assignment, according to TEAMtalk.

The Magpies have endured a disappointing campaign by their own lofty expectations and currently find themselves sitting 14th in the Premier League table.

This is despite a significant outlay of around £250 million on new arrivals during the summer transfer window.

Even with that level of investment, Newcastle are already assessing the market again as they look to reshape and strengthen Eddie Howe’s squad moving forward.

One player now firmly on their radar is Maamma, who caught the attention of several clubs after delivering an outstanding individual showing at the recent Under-20 World Cup.

Newcastle were among those to monitor the youngster closely, with club representatives watching him in person during the tournament.

His exploits on the international stage have raised the possibility of a future Premier League switch, potentially as early as 2026.

Maamma, who has been labelled “absolutely insane” for his performances, was one of Morocco’s standout players in Chile and capped off the tournament by winning the Golden Ball award as the competition’s best performer.

His composure, flair and attacking intelligence marked him out as a player of immense potential.

Following his international success, the 20-year-old has returned to Watford and quickly established himself as a regular under Javi Gracia.

He has played a key role as the Hornets push for promotion back to the Premier League.

Newcastle were among the clubs in attendance when Maamma impressed during Watford’s recent 3-0 victory over Birmingham City at Vicarage Road.

While Watford are understandably reluctant to part ways with one of their brightest assets, it is acknowledged that they could struggle to refuse a substantial bid.

The club signed Maamma for less than £1 million last summer, meaning any significant offer would represent a sizeable profit.

His ability to operate comfortably on either wing is another factor believed to appeal strongly to Howe, offering tactical flexibility in attack.

Newcastle’s interest is underlined by their ongoing struggles in the final third this season. Nick Woltemade leads the scoring charts with nine goals, while Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon have each contributed seven.

However, Barnes’ tally came during a brief hot streak, and five of Gordon’s goals have arrived from the penalty spot.

With Anthony Elanga yet to score since his £55 million move from Nottingham Forest and Yoanne Wissa only just returning to fitness, attacking consistency has been hard to find.

Maamma is viewed as a long-term investment, but Newcastle may feel he is ready to make an impact if given the chance.
