Kalvin Phillips is reportedly prioritising a summer return to Leeds United, according to CaughtOffside.
The Manchester City midfielder, currently out of favour at the Etihad, is said to be very interested in rejoining his former club.
Phillips, who has spent the past 18 months on loan spells with West Ham and Ipswich Town, is expected to leave City this summer.
While Ipswich were initially hopeful of signing him permanently, their relegation from the Premier League has made that move highly unlikely.
After regaining form during his loan at Portman Road, Phillips has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Everton, Fulham, and Crystal Palace.
However, his top preference appears to be a return to Elland Road.
Despite having a contract with Manchester City until June 2028 and earning £150,000 a week, Phillips is unlikely to fulfil the remainder of his deal.
He has made only 31 appearances since joining City and is currently sidelined with an Achilles injury.
That injury forced him to miss the final 10 Premier League matches of the season and is expected to keep him out of action until at least August.
Leeds United, recently crowned Championship winners, are in the market for midfield reinforcements as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
Although they are seeking to strengthen their midfield, they are also reportedly exploring more attack-minded options.
In addition to Phillips, Leeds are believed to be monitoring Gustavo Hamer and Emiliano Buendia as potential creative midfield additions to Daniel Farke’s squad.
Buendia, in particular, was linked with the club during the January transfer window, before securing a loan move to Bayer Leverkusen for the remainder of the season.
Phillips’ future remains uncertain, but a return to Leeds is clearly on his radar.
