Report: Ipswich Town nearing deal for winger with ‘incredible speed’ after £2.5m Leeds United ‘bid’

Turkish outlet Haber Ekspres now reports that Premier League side Ipswich is nearing an agreement to sign the winger.
Ryan Kent, who former Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst described as having “incredible speed,” is currently the subject of negotiations. With Fenerbahce accepting Ipswich’s £2.5 million bid, the deal is expected to be finalized soon.
Leeds United have frequently been linked with Kent, but his move to Ipswich makes sense given the circumstances.
While Leeds are focused on replacing Summerville, they could benefit from adding more than one winger to their squad this month.
Kent, who might be content with a rotational role, could have been a valuable addition.
Kent is undoubtedly eager to leave Fenerbahce and join a club where he can reignite his career. Whether he ends up at Ipswich, Leeds, or elsewhere remains to be seen, but his departure from Turkey seems imminent.
