A report from 30 July reveals that former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is not interested in a Premier League return at this time.
He has expressed a preference for joining AC Milan, where he is the top target for manager Paulo Fonseca.
Currently, there is no contact between AC Milan and Abraham’s current club, Roma, but the 26-year-old seems inclined to wait for a potential move to the San Siro rather than consider offers from Everton or West Ham, as neither club is considered elite in England.
Abraham is close friends with Milan defender Fikayo Tomori from their Chelsea days, and the two reportedly “always” vacation together, making a reunion at Milan appealing.

The England international, who has 11 caps, would be a good replacement for Dominic Calvert-Lewin if he regains form after missing most of last season due to injury.
However, Abraham will not come cheap, and his reluctance to move to Goodison Park suggests that Everton, under Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell, may need to look elsewhere.
Ideally, Dyche would retain Calvert-Lewin, but with his contract entering its final year and the recent collapse of the takeover potentially ending hopes of an extension, that option may no longer be viable [The Times, 19 July].
Youssef Chermiti is expected to take on a larger role after a strong preseason, and Beto is a solid backup option.
Should Calvert-Lewin depart, Everton would likely seek another proven goalscorer with Premier League experience. Roma may hope for a sale to an English club, which could afford Abraham’s contract [Tutto Mercato Web, 30 July].
If Milan remains out of reach as the window progresses, Everton might revisit the possibility of signing Abraham, but it is currently a challenging deal.
