Sources: Talks imminent as European club awaits West Ham bid, £10m fee could seal the deal

West Ham set to open talks for Ezechiel Banzuzi as OH Leuven awaits official bid, sources reveal.

The two clubs must agree on a fee for the attacking midfielder, with West Ham eager to finalize the signing before the transfer deadline.

A bid of around £10 million is believed to be sufficient for the London club to secure the services of the 19-year-old player.

So far, West Ham has not submitted an official bid for Ezechiel Banzuzi.

According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri, OH Leuven is awaiting a formal offer from the Hammers.

West Ham is actively seeking an attacking midfielder during the January transfer window, as Graham Potter aims to push the team into the top half of the table.

Although Banzuzi is a promising young talent, he may not yet be ready to feature regularly for the Irons.

The initial plan would likely involve easing him into the Premier League by giving him limited minutes off the bench to assess his adaptation.

The transition from the Belgian first division to the Premier League is significant, and for a player without senior international experience, the challenge may prove difficult.
