“Price keeps rising” – Wenham comments as Tottenham scouts monitor £80m+ European sensation
John Wenham expects Tottenham target Jamie Bynoe-Gittens' value to keep rising.

The owner of the well-known Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose isn’t in favor of signing Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Bynoe-Gittens if it could hinder the development of the “fearless” Mikey Moore.
According to BILD (21 October), both Chelsea and Tottenham frequently send scouts to watch Gittens play.
However, signing him would be costly, with Dortmund likely demanding over £83 million for the young forward.
Wenham, speaking to Tottenham News, is skeptical about the Englishman joining Spurs.
“He’s getting quite a bit of game time at Dortmund,” Wenham observed. “His price seems to be increasing.
He’s not someone I’d want us to sign if it risks impacting Moore’s development at the club in any way.
I’d prefer we focus on nurturing our own homegrown talents and giving them opportunities.
We also have Wilson Odobert, so I don’t see Spurs signing Gittens.”

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King has supported Tottenham’s continued interest in Gittens.
Yet, given the number of clubs likely tracking the young talent, securing his signature could be difficult.
Additionally, as Wenham noted, Tottenham already has promising young players like Odobert and Moore who can fill a similar role to Gittens.
Spending such a substantial amount on him might not align with the club’s priorities, and it might be more beneficial for Ange Postecoglou to direct those funds toward other areas in need of reinforcement.
