Everton scout 13-goal striker following fiery meetings – report
Everton scouted Hamza Igamane during Rangers' 3-1 victory over Dundee United on Sunday, reports Tuttosport.
An Italian newspaper reported on Monday (27 January) that Everton representatives were present at Tannadice Park on 26 January to scout Igamane, although the 22-year-old didn’t score during the match.
This follows Everton’s intensified search for a striker before the transfer window closes on 3 February, sparked by “fiery” meetings at Finch Farm.
Could David Moyes have a hectic end to the transfer window at Everton? The club has yet to make any signings this January but could face a busy final stretch before the deadline.
Despite Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury in the 1-0 win over Brighton on 25 January, Beto still doesn’t appear to be part of Moyes’ plans for the remainder of the season.
Meanwhile, Everton are reportedly looking to send injured Armando Broja back to Chelsea. According to The Mirror, Chelsea may push for the Toffees to take either Carney Chukwuemeka or Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on loan in return.
With Calvert-Lewin as their only senior center-forward—and currently sidelined—it’s increasingly likely that Everton will push for a new striker in the final days of the window.
Igamane, who has scored 13 goals and registered three assists in 27 appearances this season, has emerged as an intriguing target.
However, Rangers, who hold the Moroccan striker’s contract until 2029, are under no pressure to sell, making a potential deal challenging for the Toffees to secure.
