Injury expert Dr. Rajpal Brar has shared his perspective on Breel Embolo’s fitness record over the years amid continued interest from West Ham United.

The Swiss international impressed with six goals and five assists for AS Monaco during the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season.

However, Dr. Brar has advised West Ham to tread carefully due to Embolo’s history with muscle-related injuries.

The club previously made an approach for the 28-year-old in the January transfer window and remain keen on securing his services.

Despite Potter’s enthusiasm, West Ham might be better off targeting more consistent and clinical forwards.

The club is in desperate need of a dynamic attacker to help push for a top-half finish next season, and Embolo may not fit that mold.

The Swiss forward has scored just four goals and contributed four assists across 30 Champions League appearances, suggesting he may not be the solution to the Hammers’ attacking struggles.

His adaptation to the demands of the Premier League could take time, and combined with his fitness history, the deal could prove risky.

With funds available, West Ham should consider alternative options and possibly reconsider Potter’spush for Embolo.
