Fabrizio Romano: Midfielder Previously Linked with Tottenham Now Available This Summer

Franck Kessie could be on the move
Franck Kessie, currently playing for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, may soon be on the move again.
After previous spells at Barcelona and AC Milan, the Ivorian midfielder left Europe in 2023 to join the Saudi side.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Al-Ahli are open to letting Kessie leave this summer if a suitable offer arrives.
Tottenham were heavily linked with Kessie in 2022 and again in early 2023, when Conte reportedly made him his top midfield priority.
Though he remained at Barcelona at the time, Spurs could now have another opportunity to secure his services.
Fiorentina are believed to be in the mix, and TBR Football’s Graeme Bailey has confirmed Fulham are also showing interest.

Kessie was regarded as one of Serie A’s standout midfielders during his time with AC Milan.
Known for his powerful presence, technical ability, and tactical intelligence, the 27-year-old thrives both offensively and defensively.
He’s particularly effective in tackles, interceptions, and driving runs from midfield.
Former Milan boss Vincenzo Montella once described him as “extraordinary” with “sublime intelligence.”
Meanwhile, Antonio Cassano compared Kessie’s impact to that of Yaya Toure, saying, “He assists, scores, and holds the midfield alone.”
With Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr struggling for consistency last season, Kessie’s blend of experience, leadership, and versatility could prove invaluable for Spurs as they aim to return to Champions League contention.
