Rangers are reportedly asking for at least £4.1 million from Besiktas to complete a deal for the 23-year-old this window.
Any potential move will only be considered if the Super Lig side offers the right price.
Besiktas, however, feel the asking price is too high for a defender who only joined Rangers from Vodafone Park in 2023 for £3.3 million.
Despite their view, Rangers must set their price and hold firm, ensuring they aren’t undervalued by the Turkish club.
Besiktas might be aware of the financial struggles Rangers are dealing with and could attempt to exploit this situation.
This makes it crucial for Koppen to prove that Rangers will not be pressured into accepting a low offer and will demand fair value for their player.
As Besiktas has yet to meet Rangers’ asking price, it’s unlikely that the defender will leave before the club receives an offer they deem acceptable.
