Despite this, the club remains in the market for another centre-forward, with Corriere dello Sport reporting their interest in Tammy Abraham.
According to the same source, Roma is seeking between £19.5 million and £21 million for the 26-year-old striker.
The paper edition of Corriere dello Sport (via SportWitness) adds that West Ham has yet to make an official offer.
The club might either meet the asking price or propose a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy.
West Ham started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace, where Michail Antonio led the attack and Fullkrug came on as a replacement.
Danny Ings, another senior striker, could potentially leave if Abraham joins the squad.
