SHOCKING REVEAL: Leeds United Seal SECRET Mega-Deal for Club-Record Marquee Superstar That Will DESTROY the Premier League!

Leeds United in Advanced Talks to Complete James Trafford Signing from Manchester City

Leeds United are closing in on the signing of Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford after the 23-year-old agreed personal terms with the newly promoted Premier League side.

Daniel Farke has been eager to strengthen his goalkeeping department ahead of the new campaign, and Trafford has emerged as the club’s preferred target.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa both explored the possibility of signing the England international earlier this summer, but Leeds have moved into pole position and are now expected to complete the transfer in the coming days.

If finalised, Trafford will become the Whites’ third major arrival of the transfer window.

Although opportunities were limited at Manchester City last season, Trafford still featured 17 times across all competitions, producing eight clean sheets and showing the qualities that have made him one of England’s brightest young goalkeepers.

Leeds have prioritised signing a new number one following the departures of Illan Meslier and Karl Darlow on free transfers.

The club’s recruitment team believe Trafford has the ability to provide long-term stability between the posts after several seasons of uncertainty.

Goalkeeping has been a persistent concern at Elland Road, with Meslier, Darlow and Lucas Perri all handed opportunities in recent years without fully convincing.

Trafford is viewed as a player capable of ending that search and establishing himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for years to come.

His statistics from last season suggest he could be an excellent addition.

According to FotMob, Trafford averaged 3.5 saves per match, recorded a 70% save rate, prevented 0.63 goals and registered 0.25 clean sheets per 90 minutes in Premier League action.

Those numbers highlight both his shot-stopping ability and his potential to improve further with regular football.

With consistent minutes under Farke, Trafford could prove to be one of the bargains of the summer as Leeds aim to secure a comfortable Premier League campaign and climb the table.

Leeds are also working on strengthening their attacking options.

Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness recently claimed that the Yorkshire club lead the race to sign former Borussia Dortmund playmaker Julian Brandt.

The experienced midfielder became a free agent after leaving the Bundesliga side this summer, while his father reportedly visited Thorp Arch for fresh discussions over a move.

Despite competition from elsewhere, Leeds remain optimistic that a deal can be completed before the transfer window closes.
