“‘That’s scary’ – Sky Sports pundit delivers Leeds promotion verdict after Elland Road display”

Sky Sports pundit Gary Rowett was left highly impressed by Leeds United’s attacking depth after watching their October clash against Sheffield United at Elland Road.

Rowett praised key attackers like Largie Ramazani, Willy Gnonto, Joel Piroe, and Brenden Aaronson, while also acknowledging substitutes Mateo Joseph, Manor Solomon, and Patrick Bamford.

He told the Football League Paper, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post on 4 November:

“I walked into Elland Road that night [vs Sheffield United] thinking I was probably watching the best two teams in the division.

And don’t get me wrong – I still think Sheffield United have a very, very good chance under Chris [Wilder].

But what I came away thinking is that Leeds just have so many attacking options, I would be so surprised if they didn’t win the league this year. So, so surprised.

“Just look at what they did that night. They started off with a front four of Largie Ramazani, Willy Gnonto, Joel Piroe, and Brenden Aaronson.

Then they bring on Mateo Joseph, Dan James, and Manor Solomon – those three have all played in the Premier League.

And people forget, they also brought on Patrick Bamford in the 90th minute.

That’s an England international, thrown on almost as a token gesture. It’s an embarrassment of riches really.

When you look at that front eight, any one would probably get a game for every other team in the league. That’s scary.”

With a squad boasting such depth and talent, Leeds arguably has one of the Championship’s best attacks this season.

Manager Daniel Farke has a versatile roster filled with Premier League-level players, allowing him to rotate and maintain a high standard without dips in quality.

Players like Ramazani, Gnonto, Piroe, and Solomon offer a dynamic offensive threat that could overwhelm opponents.

This extensive roster not only allows Farke to manage player fitness but also provides the flexibility to adapt to the Championship’s less defensive style, where goal-scoring ability is paramount.

His tactical expertise will be essential in using this attacking talent to drive Leeds towards a return to the Premier League.
