With the Italian giants currently languishing in ninth place in Serie A and only three matches left, their chances of a top-four finish are slim.

Tomori, who has tasted Champions League football and wants to compete at the highest level consistently, may begin to look elsewhere.

Newcastle, by contrast, are within reach of Champions League qualification themselves. With three Premier League games remaining, they are well-positioned to secure a top-five finish.

For the club, reaching Europe’s elite competition is seen as a significant step forward. It would not only boost revenue but also make the club a more attractive destination for top-tier talent.
