The funny moment Jamie Vardy was caught in action at Leicester City’s training ground this season

Jamie Vardy poised to cement his legacy as one of Leicester City's all-time greats.

After excelling in the National League, Leicester City took a significant gamble in 2012 by signing Jamie Vardy from Fleetwood Town for £1m.

At the time, Vardy’s lack of experience at higher levels made the move a risk, but it has proven to be one of the club’s most rewarding decisions.

During the 2013/14 season, Vardy played a pivotal role in Leicester’s promotion from the Championship, contributing 16 goals and 10 assists in 37 league appearances.

He followed that with a standout performance in the 2014/15 Premier League season, helping the Foxes narrowly avoid relegation.

Vardy’s defining moment came in Leicester’s fairy-tale 2015/16 Premier League title-winning campaign.

That season, he set a record by scoring in 11 consecutive top-flight matches, surpassing Ruud van Nistelrooy’s previous achievement.

Off the pitch, Vardy became known for his vibrant personality and unconventional pre-match routine, which includes consuming three Red Bulls, a ham and cheese omelette, and a double espresso.

Despite being 37 years old, Vardy remains a vital figure for Leicester in the 2024/25 season, netting six Premier League goals for a struggling team. His character off the field continues to shine.

Recently, it was reported by The Telegraph that Vardy amused himself during training by kicking balls at the windows of Leicester’s state-of-the-art training headquarters.

Fans will soon get a deeper insight into Vardy’s journey, as Netflix is set to release a documentary chronicling his rise from non-league football to Premier League stardom.

The documentary, scheduled for release in Autumn 2025, will feature appearances from football legends such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Wayne Rooney.

Jamie Vardy’s remarkable journey continues to inspire and entertain both on and off the pitch, solidifying his legacy as a Leicester City legend.
