Charlie Woods had a challenging start to his debut in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) at the Will Lowery Junior Championship last weekend. Woods ended up shooting 21-over-par, landing him in a tie for 32nd place with Jack Michael and Spencer Mills. In contrast, the event’s winner, Patmon Malcom, finished at an impressive -7.
Throughout the three-round event held at the Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, North Carolina, Woods posted rounds of 78, 81, and 78. His participation in the AJGA debut was made possible through a sponsor’s exemption, as reported by TW Legion. Notably, Woods’ father, Tiger Woods, was observed attending the event, as per reports.
Additionally, earlier in the week, Tiger Woods and his former spouse Elin Nordegren were present at a ceremony honoring the Benjamin School golf team, which included their son Charlie. The ceremony commemorated the team’s 2023 state championship victory, during which Charlie Woods proudly displayed his new ring alongside his father.
