“Tottenham and Crystal Palace in EPIC £25M Battle for Belgian SUPERSTAR – You Won’t Believe Who’s Winning!”

Koni De Winter is expected to leave Genoa this summer, with interest from both the Premier League and Serie A.

West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace are all keen on the Belgian defender, while Inter Milan and Napoli have also made enquiries from Italy.

Sources indicate the 22-year-old could be available for a fee in the region of €25–30 million.

Since permanently joining Genoa from Juventus, De Winter has become a key figure in their defence, featuring in 20 matches across all competitions this season and contributing three goals.

His versatility—being able to operate as a centre-back, full-back, or defensive midfielder—has made him a standout performer. With two caps for Belgium already, he’s now eyeing a place in Rudi Garcia’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Premier League Interest in De Winter

West Ham are actively pursuing a young defensive talent suited to Graham Potter’s 3-4-2-1 system.

This comes despite recently triggering a £36.3 million obligation to buy Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice.

The Hammers are also monitoring Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup and could make a double swoop.

Tottenham, meanwhile, are prioritising another centre-back, particularly as Atletico Madrid prepare a move for Cristian Romero.

The Argentine defender is reportedly interested in a return to LaLiga, and although Spurs have yet to receive an offer, one is anticipated early in the summer window.

Crystal Palace are also in the market for a new central defender after cutting short Trevoh Chalobah’s loan from Chelsea in January.

The Eagles are preparing for potential bids for captain Marc Guehi, having previously turned down over £65 million from Newcastle last summer and another approach from Spurs in January. With Guehi entering the final year of his contract, a sale is now under consideration.

Italian Giants Also in the Mix

Napoli have already secured a deal to sign Empoli’s 20-year-old Luca Marianucci for €9 million but are still seeking further defensive reinforcements.

Inter Milan are also in the market for a young centre-back ahead of the Club World Cup, with club president Beppe Marotta playing a key role in recruitment.

Alongside De Winter, Inter are also considering Udinese’s Oumar Solet and Bologna’sSam Beukema.
