However, The Daily Mail reported that while additional cover in goal is on the club’s radar, it is not a top priority for the January transfer window.

Instead, Tottenham are focusing on strengthening their attack and defensive line.

The outlet states that while Spurs initially planned to address this need in the summer, they might accelerate their plans to January.

Tottenham have reportedly scouted three players: Burnley’s James Trafford, Sunderland’s Anthony Patterson, and Real Sociedad’s Alex Remiro.

Trafford and Patterson are both young, English keepers impressing in the EFL, while Remiro, with 373 appearances across La Liga and the Segunda Division, brings significant experience.

What These Targets Indicate About Spurs’ Plan

All three goalkeepers are highly skilled with the ball at their feet and adept at sweeping behind a high defensive line.

Trafford and Patterson hold an additional advantage due to their homegrown status, ensuring Tottenham doesn’t use a valuable non-homegrown spot on a backup goalkeeper.
