VIEW: Tottenham Pursuing Archie Gray Transfer as Leeds United Star Edges Closer to Summer Departure

Tottenham Hotspur are actively pursuing a deal to secure Leeds United prodigy Archie Gray, despite the 18-year-old having completed a medical with Premier League rivals Brentford.

Leeds rejected Brentford’s offer even after Gray had agreed to personal terms, prompting Spurs to swiftly pursue the talented youngster. According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, all parties involved anticipate a deal being finalized in the near future. Gray is reportedly leaning towards joining Spurs over other interested clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United. However, Ange Postecoglou’s team remains in a strong position, having monitored Gray’s situation closely for several months.

Previously, Tottenham had attempted to sign Gray over a year ago, making an approach when he was just 17 years old, but he opted to sign his first professional contract with Leeds under manager Daniel Farke.

Now, Tottenham’s renewed interest is set to overturn Gray’s earlier decision, especially following his standout 2023/24 season. Gray’s impressive performances earned him accolades such as Leeds’ Young Player of the Season, as well as the EFL’s Young Player and Apprentice of the Season awards.
