Tottenham Defender Linked to Serie A Star Under Investigation in Illegal Gambling Case Through Loaned Funds

Despite focusing on his rehabilitation, the Tottenham centre-back has recently been linked to a scandal in Italy involving illegal online betting.
While Dragusin is not under investigation, Italian outlet Il Messaggero reports that his name appeared in documents connected to the case.
Prosecutors are attempting to recover €1.5 million and penalize those involved in the illegal gambling ring.
The investigation has already led to bans for players such as Nicolo Fagioli and Sandro Tonali.
Dragusin’s involvement stems from financial support he gave to a teammate.
He, along with Stefano Turati and Federico Gatti, reportedly lent €40,000 to Fagioli to help him settle gambling debts.
Despite this financial link, none of the trio are under investigation.
They are simply listed as individuals who provided loans to those caught up in the scandal.
As Dragusin works toward a return to full fitness, transfer rumors have also begun to circulate.
His agent recently shared that the Romanian international misses life in Italy and acknowledged previous interest from Napoli. This has fueled speculation about a potential summer move.
Among the rumored possibilities is a swap deal involving Tottenham and AC Milan, which could see Dragusin head to Italy while Fikayo Tomori joins Spurs.
However, nothing is confirmed, and for now, Dragusin’s main focus remains on recovering in time for the next campaign.
