Avdić’s report on Expressen’s website detailed the midfielder’s recent visit to England, where he explored opportunities with a Premier League team. Today, the journalist revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that the 17-year-old toured Tottenham’s facilities during his visit to England.
Tottenham, led by manager Ange Postecoglou, has now entered the race alongside Barcelona and Eintracht Frankfurt to secure the promising youngster, who earned his debut for Sweden this month.
On January 19th, Fotball Direkt reported that an unnamed Premier League club had made a €8m bid for Bergvall. With recent claims pointing to the player’s visit to Tottenham, it is plausible that Spurs made the reported offer.
Djurgårdens IF sporting director Bosse Andersson acknowledged receiving offers for Bergvall but refrained from divulging specific details. He confirmed the existence of attractive offers but emphasized that nothing has been finalized. Despite the pressure, there is no urgency to complete a deal before the transfer deadline, as stated to Fotball Direkt.
