TRANSFER EARTHQUAKE! Newcastle Ready to PAY THIS £17M GENIUS WHAT WEST HAM CAN ONLY DREAM OF – He’s Coming to St James’ Park!

Newcastle United look set to outmuscle West Ham United in the January transfer market.

West Ham United and Newcastle United are both actively looking to strengthen their squads during the January transfer window, with reinforcements seen as crucial for the remainder of the season.

The Hammers have endured a deeply difficult Premier League campaign, finding themselves in a precarious position that has raised serious concerns among supporters.

While Newcastle’s season has not been anywhere near as disappointing as West Ham’s, the Magpies have still fallen short of expectations and have largely failed to hit their stride consistently.

West Ham’s issues are numerous, ranging from inconsistency to a lack of quality in key areas of the pitch.

However, the arrival of a few high-calibre signings could quickly lift the atmosphere at the London Stadium and provide renewed optimism.

The major obstacle facing the club, though, is persuading top-level players to commit to a side currently struggling near the bottom end of the table.

That task becomes even more complicated when competing with financially stronger clubs such as Newcastle, who are also targeting similar profiles in the market.

The Magpies’ superior resources and more stable league position give them a clear edge when it comes to attracting in-demand talent.

One such player reportedly on the radar of both clubs is Celta Vigo defender Oscar Mingueza. As the January window gathers momentum, West Ham are said to be locked in a battle with Newcastle for the Spaniard’s signature.

However, a report from AS suggests that Mingueza’s next move will largely be determined by the financial package on offer.

In that regard, Newcastle appear to be in a much stronger position than West Ham, giving them a significant advantage in negotiations.

Should the Hammers miss out on Mingueza, it would represent a considerable setback given how well he fits their needs.

The 26-year-old would be an excellent addition for either side. Primarily a right-back, Mingueza is technically gifted and frequently steps into midfield areas thanks to his comfort in possession.

His ability to contribute to build-up play would add a new dimension, particularly for West Ham.

Mingueza has a €20 million (£17.5 million) release clause in his Celta Vigo contract, a figure that appears excellent value in today’s market.

A four-time Spain international, he has averaged 1.6 tackles, 1.1 clearances and 1.3 dribbles per game across 16 La Liga appearances this season.

Calm on the ball and progressive with his passing, Mingueza ticks many boxes. While he seems an ideal January target for West Ham, Newcastle currently look best placed to secure his services.
