Transfer Expert: England International Could Be ‘Perfect’ Everton Signing; Dyche Wants Him

The ex-Goodison scout supports the idea of 28-year-old Kalvin Phillips rebuilding his career at Goodison Park.

According to the Liverpool ECHO (21 July), Sean Dyche is interested in bringing Phillips to the club.

King, speaking exclusively to Goodison News, believes the transfer makes sense for both parties.

“Phillips would be a good addition at Goodison Park,” King said. “I can see him as an Everton player. Some players just suit certain clubs, and Everton could be perfect for Phillips. Under Dyche, a move to Everton would suit him and allow him to rebuild his career.”

Is Everton going to sign Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips? This transfer seems logical.

Phillips has struggled since joining City, with his stock plummeting and falling out of favour with Gareth Southgate in the England squad. A move away appears to be the best option for Phillips, and City likely won’t block his exit.

Everton needs a replacement for Amadou Onana in midfield, making this transfer a potential perfect fit. Phillips needs a career revival, and Everton needs a midfielder with something to prove.

If the financial terms are right, it could be wise for the Toffees to pursue Phillips aggressively.
