Journalist: Leeds United Have Already Tried to Sign Former Manchester United Attacker This Summer

In his press conference on Thursday, Daniel Farke emphasized the need for Leeds United to secure two new attackers before the transfer window closes.

Leeds have lost a total of 50 goal contributions from last season’s squad in just the past two weeks, with Georginio Rutter poised to join Crysencio Summerville in the Premier League.

This loss has intensified the need for Leeds to find adequate replacements.

The club has been linked with Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe, Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, and Burnley’s Manuel Benson.

However, securing any of these players is proving challenging. Rowe is reportedly interested in a move to Marseille, Rak-Sakyi is set to join Sheffield United, and Burnley is reluctant to part with Benson after already losing Wilson Odobert to Tottenham.

Leeds may need to look beyond domestic options to fill the gaps in their squad. One potential target is Almeria winger Largie Ramazani, who has attracted interest from Besiktas and AEK Athens as well.

Despite Leeds’ efforts to sign him, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that their pursuit appears to be unsuccessful.

Ramazani is now in discussions with Almeria about extending his contract until 2028, despite the club’s recent relegation from La Liga.

Ramazani, a highly versatile attacker, is primarily right-footed but plays predominantly on the left wing.

He has also featured as a right winger and central attacking midfielder, making him a versatile option for Leeds.

A product of the Manchester United academy, Ramazani made one senior appearance for the Red Devils in the Europa League in 2019.

Since then, he has excelled at Almeria, scoring 21 goals and providing nine assists in 127 appearances. Last season, despite Almeria’s relegation, he contributed three goals and five assists.
