“Ibrox Bombshell: Rangers in SHOCK Talks to Snag Premier League ICON in Jaw-Dropping Transfer Coup!”

Rangers Step Up Chase for Former Leicester Striker Jamie Vardy with Initial Talks Underway – Sources

Jamie Vardy, 38, is attracting interest from clubs around the world, including teams in the United States.

Rangers boss Russell Martin is eager to strengthen his forward line ahead of the new season and sees the former England striker as a smart acquisition.

Vardy recently ended a 13-year spell at Leicester City following the expiration of his contract, leaving as a club legend with 200 goals in 500 appearances.

The veteran forward boasts an impressive résumé, including two Premier League Golden Boots and a place as the 14th all-time top scorer in Premier League history with 145 goals.

Rangers have now set their sights on signing the proven marksman, especially after his move to Genoa was blocked by manager Patrick Vieira.

Vardy could potentially replace Hamza Igamane, who is being linked with a summer switch to Lille.

The Scottish giants finished 17 points behind fierce rivals Celtic last season and are aiming to close that gap before the 2024/25 campaign kicks off.

In a significant financial development, Rangers have secured a £20million cash injection from their owners via a new share issue.

According to information filed with Companies House on 30 June, Rangers International Football Club Limited issued 100 million shares, each priced at 20 pence per one pence share, amounting to a total investment of £20million.

This move follows the new owners’ earlier commitment to invest the same amount after acquiring a controlling stake in the club.
