Two Sources Report Player ‘One Step Away’ from West Ham – Deal ‘Imminent,’ Hammers Target Monday to Finalize

On Friday, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg reported that Everton have a strong interest in Carlos Soler, who is also a target for West Ham United.

Foot Mercato also reported that while Everton have expressed interest, they are likely to miss out on the Paris Saint-Germain player, who is reportedly “one step away” from joining West Ham.

West Ham manager Julen Lopetegui is keen on the midfielder and made him a priority target for the club.

It seems his wish is about to be fulfilled, suggesting Everton’s interest may have been overstated to hasten negotiations.

Recent developments have brought all parties closer, bringing the 27-year-old “very close” to joining the London club.

West Ham is set to pay €23 million to PSG, and there is optimism about an “imminent outcome.”

AS also reports that Soler, who was personally requested by Lopetegui, is nearly finalized to join the Premier League side.

The Hammers and PSG are in advanced negotiations and aim to close the deal “by Monday at the latest.”

West Ham is considering either a straight purchase or a loan deal with an obligation to buy set at €20 million, which is €3 million less than the amount quoted by Foot Mercato.

According to AS, this is the “final step” needed to complete the deal for Soler.
