“Unable to Secure Midfielder: West Ham Could Lose Out on Target”

If you had told West Ham fans before their first signing how good the transfer window would be, they would have laughed.

The sheer quality of players the Hammers have signed is breathtaking.

For most positions, they’ve secured one of their top two targets. The efficiency and speed of their business have been phenomenal, a real change from the West Ham of old.

However, Tim Steidten’s magic might be reaching its limit as he could miss out on one of the club’s top remaining targets: Carlos Soler.

PSG midfielder Soler is well-known to Lopetegui, who is keen to bring him to the London Stadium.

However, to do so, the club would likely need to sell one of their fringe players in his position, which means they can’t progress the deal at the moment.

Unfortunately, West Ham isn’t the only club interested in Soler. According to Get Football News France, while the Hammers and Brighton are keen, Real Sociedad is currently leading the race.

A move back to his home country could be extremely enticing for Soler.

Without the ability to sign him without selling, West Ham currently has little to offer to lure him away.
