“Utterly Moronic!” Broadcaster Demands LIFETIME BAN for West Ham’s Most HUMILIATING Player Ever!

West Ham secured a 1-1 draw away at Everton on Monday evening, with Jarrod Bowen producing a fine finish in the second half to cancel out the opener at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Hammers had fallen behind in familiar fashion, conceding yet another goal from a set piece when Michael Keane struck for David Moyes’ men.

Despite the setback, the travelling supporters were in strong voice, giving their backing to new boss Nuno Espirito Santo in his first game in charge.

Their encouragement was rewarded with a determined team display that earned a point on Merseyside.

However, the attention after the match has not solely been on Bowen’s equaliser or Nuno’s tactical decisions.

Instead, much of the discussion centred on Lucas Paqueta, whose behaviour overshadowed what was otherwise a positive performance.

Nuno made a bold call by leaving James Ward-Prowse out of the side, instead opting for a midfield three of Paqueta, Matheus Fernandes and Soungoutou Magassa.

While there were encouraging signs from that combination, Paqueta once again drew headlines for the wrong reasons.

Late in the contest, the Brazilian clashed with Everton full-back Vitalii Mykolenko.

After a brief coming together, Paqueta went to ground clutching his face despite the contact appearing to be lower down his body.

The incident prompted a furious reaction from commentator Ian Darke, who criticised the West Ham playmaker on social media.

Darke wrote on X: “Embarrassing, Paqueta taking a dig in the ribs and collapsing, clutching his face. So stupid with cameras everywhere to expose the cheating.

In an ideal world, that should carry a one-game ban for any player trying it (and there have been a few).”

While there was some degree of contact, Paqueta’s exaggerated reaction highlighted a broader issue within football, where referees and VAR create a situation in which players feel the need to go down in order to provoke a decision.

This leaves the sport vulnerable to accusations of play-acting and damages reputations in the process.

For Paqueta, it was another moment of frustration. The 28-year-old possesses unquestionable ability with the ball at his feet, yet too often finds himself involved in needless antics rather than letting his talent dictate games.

In the current campaign, his influence has been inconsistent, preventing him from reaching the level he is clearly capable of.

Nuno, however, will believe he can help Paqueta rediscover his best form, much like he did with Morgan Gibbs-White during his time at Nottingham Forest.

Cutting out the theatrics must be a priority, freeing Paqueta to concentrate on scoring and creating goals that can drive West Ham forward under their new manager.
