View: Everton player’s time at Goodison likely over as £16.5m transfer update surfaces.

Nathan Patterson's Everton future in doubt as new right-back targets emerge with the January transfer window open.

The Scotland international has faced significant injury struggles in recent years, limiting him to only three Premier League appearances this season.

Despite being just 23 years old, Sean Dyche has preferred the experienced Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman over Everton’s number two.

With the winter transfer window now open, Everton may explore signing a new right-back, which could signal the end for Nathan Patterson at Goodison Park.

Reports indicate advanced talks are underway to sign Flamengo full-back Wesley, with a potential bid between £16.5 million and £24.8 million expected for the 21-year-old Brazilian defender.

Dyche is reportedly keen to add a right-back to the squad in January, and Wesley could offer a progressive option for the Toffees.

Should the 2022 Copa Libertadores winner join Everton, it would likely mean another player making way, and Patterson seems a likely candidate.

The former Rangers man appears to lack trust at Goodison Park, and a move away might benefit his career.

With The Friedkin Group recently taking over as Everton’s owners, this deal would represent a statement signing.

Unfortunately, it seems Patterson could be the casualty of this potential transfer.
