West Ham United Concerned as Callum Marshall Goes Another Game Without Scoring.
Callum Marshall, 19, struggled to make an impact during Northern Ireland’s 0-0 draw with Belarus on Saturday, October 12, before being substituted in the 67th minute.
Starting alongside Jamie Reid, the West Ham loanee missed a key opportunity to score and was one of the game’s weaker performers.
Marshall hasn’t found the net since Huddersfield Town’s 1-0 win over Shrewsbury in August, raising concerns for West Ham.
During the match, he attempted two shots, one on target, and missed a big chance saved by Belarus goalkeeper Fedor Lapoukhov.
More concerning, he lost all eight of his duels, failed both dribble attempts, committed three fouls, and didn’t win any set-pieces.
Despite these struggles, Marshall completed 12 of 18 passes, two of which led to chances, and contributed defensively with a clearance and ball recovery.
While his performance showed flashes of promise, it highlighted that Marshall may not yet be ready for West Ham’s first team.
