West Ham ‘Accelerate’ Efforts to Sign Player – Club Seeks to Offload, Fee Within Hammers’ Reach

Earlier this month, L’Equipe reported that West Ham United have shown interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Carlos Soler.

The midfielder is expected to leave the French club, with the Premier League likely to be his next destination.

According to El Desmarque, West Ham are set to compete with Real Sociedad for the 27-year-old.

Real Sociedad have identified the Spain international as a candidate to replace Mikel Merino if he leaves this summer.

The former Newcastle United player has less than a year left on his contract, and Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with him.

While the La Liga side have Soler on their radar, they must be cautious of West Ham’s interest. Julen Lopetegui’s side reportedly wants to accelerate their efforts to sign the former Valencia man.

PSG are looking to offload Soler and would require €20m to part ways with him this window.

While West Ham could meet this request, the report indicates they would need to let one of their own midfielders leave before making an offer for the Spaniard.
