West Ham considering a late move for Champions League winner, says journalist.

Julen Lopetegui has taken over as the new manager, succeeding the Scotsman, and West Ham have been very active in this transfer window to provide the Spanish coach with the necessary resources for a successful season.

The club has bolstered its defense by signing Max Kilman, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

In attack, Niclas Fullkrug, Luis Guilherme, and Crysencio Summerville have been brought in to enhance their offensive options.

Meanwhile, Guido Rodriguez has been added to strengthen the midfield, but it seems Lopetegui is keen on securing another midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Carlos Soler from Paris Saint-Germain has been mentioned as a potential target, but West Ham appear to be exploring alternative options in case they are unable to secure his services.

According to Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, West Ham are interested in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and are closely monitoring his situation for a possible move in the coming days.

However, Nottingham Forest, Brentford, and Wolverhampton Wanderers are also eyeing a move for the 31-year-old, meaning West Ham will face strong competition for his signature.

After winning numerous trophies with Liverpool, Oxlade-Chamberlain left Anfield as a free agent last summer to join Turkish side Besiktas.

Known for his versatility, he can play multiple roles in midfield and is also comfortable on the wing.

Despite his talent, his injury history could be a concern for West Ham, who would need to consider this before making an official move.

Valued at around £3.5 million by Transfermarkt, Oxlade-Chamberlain has two years left on his current contract, meaning West Ham might need to pay a transfer fee to bring him to the London Stadium before Friday’s deadline.
