West Ham Engage in New Talks Over Next Signing Following Recent Bid, Reports Journalist

West Ham Continue Negotiations to Sign Borussia Dortmund Striker Niclas Fullkrug This Summer

West Ham have submitted a new offer of around £21 million for the 31-year-old striker, but Dortmund have yet to respond.

According to Florian Plettenberg, West Ham engaged in “new talks” with Dortmund on the night of August 1st to reach an agreement.

West Ham have made it clear that they are not willing to overspend and that this is their maximum offer for the German striker.

Dortmund only signed him last summer, and Fullkrug impressed in his first season at the club, scoring 15 goals in all competitions.

However, Dortmund are demanding a fee of around £25 million, but West Ham are reluctant to increase their offer.

Plettenberg wrote on X: “New talks between the clubs have taken place tonight with Borussia Dortmund still demanding €30m all-in for Niclas Füllkrug! West Ham, not willing to increase their offer of €25m all-in now.

Poker ongoing but West Ham exploring more options. Most concrete: Jhon Duran! Verbal agreement with the 20 y/o striker is done.

Aston Villa demand €30m all-in. It’s still up to Dortmund as finalizing the Duran deal won’t be an issue.”

West Ham should avoid overspending. The major stumbling block is reaching an agreement between the two clubs.

Fullkrug is willing to move to the Premier League, and personal terms won’t be an issue.

The striker has scored 122 goals for multiple clubs in his career and 13 goals for Germany. He has never played outside the Bundesliga. While he remains in excellent goalscoring form, West Ham should not overspend.

They have already made a substantial offer, and Dortmund should accept it. If Dortmund remains firm on their asking price, West Ham should consider other options.
