The arrival of Thomas Frank in North London could mark a fresh start for players who struggled last season, as the Danish manager is known for revitalising careers.

During his time at Brentford, Frank played a key role in developing several talents into standout Premier League performers.

One such player who could benefit from Frank’s influence is Wilson Odobert.

Despite a difficult first year at Tottenham, the club reportedly still holds “high hopes” for the young winger, according to journalist Tom Barclay.

Tottenham signed the 20-year-old from Burnley for £32 million last summer, but his debut season was marred by a serious hamstring injury that sidelined him for several months.

Although he made a promising start, Odobert ultimately finished the 2024/25 campaign with just three goals in 21 appearances.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Barclay said: “Wilson Odobert, who along with Mathys Tel has impressed at the Under-21 Euros, is still very much in Tottenham’s plans.

Meanwhile, Tottenham’s attacking options are beginning to take shape under Frank’s guidance.

The club is on the verge of signing Mohamed Kudus in a deal worth around £55 million, with the Ghana international expected to undergo his medical on Thursday.

The North London side appears determined not to repeat last season’s mistake of lacking depth in attack.

With Kudus joining the ranks, Spurs will have a strong forward line, but this could lead to some departures to balance the squad.

One name being considered as an addition is Yoane Wissa, with TBR Football reporting that Tottenham are eyeing a move for the 28-year-old Brentford forward.

Frank is believed to be keen on reuniting with Wissa as a possible alternative to Dominic Solanke at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
