West Ham have struggled to find the back of the net this season, a key factor behind their slide down the Premier League table.

Currently sitting 16th, level on points with Everton, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, the East London club has scored just 32 goals in 27 matches, making them the sixth-lowest scorers in the division.

Their traditional strikers have been ineffective, contributing only four goals between them.

West Ham’s Interest in Tammy Abraham

The Hammers’ frontline, including Danny Ings, Michail Antonio, and Niclas Füllkrug, has been underwhelming.

Injuries to Füllkrug and Antonio forced the club to act in the winter transfer window, securing Evan Ferguson on loan to bolster their attacking options. However, the issue remains unresolved.

With Antonio and Ings set to become free agents at the end of the season and no contract renewals in sight, West Ham will be in the market for a new striker this summer.

According to Caught Offside, the club has reached out to Tammy Abraham’s representatives.

The AS Roma forward, currently on loan at AC Milan, has struggled to make a significant impact in Serie A.

Milan are unconvinced about signing him permanently, opening the door for a potential return to England.

Abraham, 27, has also attracted interest from Everton, Wolves, Newcastle United, and Nottingham Forest, all of whom have reportedly contacted his agents.

With his Serie A career seemingly coming to an end, a Premier League comeback could be imminent.

The former Chelsea striker has managed just eight goals in 36 appearances for Milan this season.

Following Julen Lopetegui’s dismissal in early January, former Brighton manager Graham Potter was appointed to stabilize the team and steer them away from trouble.

While Potter has delivered some promising results, including a notable 1-0 victory over Arsenal, West Ham’s overall standing hasn’t improved significantly.

Under his guidance, the team has won three, lost three, and drawn one of their last seven matches.

Despite being 16th, the Irons are comfortably above the relegation zone, holding a 16-point cushion. However, they remain adrift in the lower half of the table.

With the bottom clubs separated by narrow margins, a strong run of results could see West Ham climb higher and finish the season on amore positive note.
