“Leicester Leading the Race: Rapid Progress in Talks with Agents of 45-Cap Free Agent”

Despite the closure of the transfer window, Leicester City and manager Steve Cooper remain focused on strengthening the team, with reports suggesting they are pursuing a free agent to bolster their squad.

Leicester City Transfer Update

Following their return to the Premier League, Leicester City had a mixed summer transfer window.

The club spent heavily on players like Oliver Skipp and Bilal El Khannouss, aiming to enhance their squad.

However, they also suffered key losses, most notably Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who departed for Chelsea.

His exit has left a significant void in the attacking midfield role at the King Power Stadium.

During the summer, Leicester signed a total of nine players.

Despite these new additions, the team has struggled to make a strong start to the season, earning only one point out of a possible nine so far.

As a result, manager Steve Cooper faces a challenging few months, as he won’t be able to make any major squad changes until the January transfer window opens.

However, with the Turkish transfer window still open, there remains a possibility that one player could depart the club before January.

Last week, reports emerged that Turkish giants Galatasaray had made contact with Leicester regarding a potential loan move for midfielder Boubakary Soumare.

The report indicated that Galatasaray is interested in signing Soumare on a season-long loan.

The French midfielder spent last season on loan at Sevilla and may be on the verge of another temporary exit.

Soumare’s contract with Leicester runs until 2026, but despite the club paying a reported £17 million for him, he has struggled to make a significant impact.

So far this season, Soumare has made just one appearance.

In addition to exploring Soumare’s potential departure, Leicester City is actively working to secure a new signing, with reports suggesting they are close to bringing in a highly experienced free agent.

Leicester in Talks to Sign International Midfielder

According to the French outlet Jeunes Footeux, Leicester City is in advanced discussions to sign free agent Yusuf Yazici.

The 27-year-old Turkish international, who has 45 caps for his national team, is currently without a club after leaving French side Lille at the end of last season.

Leicester is reportedly eager to add him to their squad.

Talks have already begun with Yazici’s representatives, and Leicester is hoping to finalize the deal soon.

However, the club faces competition from other Premier League sides, including Everton and AFC Bournemouth, who are also interested in signing the midfielder.

Despite the competition, Leicester is believed to be in the strongest position and is working quickly to complete the transfer.

Yazici spent five years at Lille, having joined the French club in 2019 from Trabzonspor.

During his time with Lille, he made 135 appearances and scored 12 goals in all competitions last season.

He also spent loan spells at CSKA Moscow and Trabzonspor.

Given his experience and ability to contribute from midfield, Yazici could fill the gap left by Dewsbury-Hall and provide Leicester with an important boost.
