“49ers Unleash Chaos: Rangers Plot Jaw-Dropping Heist for Brazil’s ‘Insanely Gifted’ Superstar!”

Rangers Plot Statement Signing of Talented Brazilian Midfielder

Incoming Rangers owners, the 49ers, are reportedly planning a high-profile summer signing as they look to make a statement at Ibrox.

According to TEAMtalk, the American group is targeting a move for Brazilian midfielder Metinho as part of their strategy to reshape the squad ahead of the new season.

With the managerial situation still unresolved, uncertainty lingers at the club. Interim boss Barry Ferguson remains in charge, but the 49ers have submitted an offer for Davide Ancelotti, currently an assistant at Real Madrid.

Should Ancelotti accept the role, he is expected to play a key part in shaping Rangers’ summer transfer activity.

Despite the lack of a permanent manager, the club’s recruitment team is already identifying potential additions to help close the gap to rivals Celtic.

Rangers scouts have been monitoring Anorthosis Famagusta striker Evagoras Charalambous, while a bid is also anticipated for Estoril defender Kevin Boma.

In midfield, the club is eyeing Metinho, currently contracted to French club Troyes but on loan at FC Basel.

The 22-year-old has impressed during his time in Switzerland, catching the attention of scouts with his all-round displays.

Given his contract is set to expire in 2026, Rangers could potentially secure his services for around £4 million—or possibly even less.

The 49ers are keen to bring in young, high-upside talents who could develop at Ibrox and eventually be sold for profit. Metinho fits that profile well.

Known for his skill on the ball and strong defensive numbers, the Congo-born midfielder has drawn comparisons to Paul Pogba in both playing style and appearance.

Marcelo Veiga, former Fluminense academy director, once said: “People joke and sometimes call him Pogba due to his style, his appearance and because he plays with his head up.”

Respected scout Jacek Kulig has also praised Metinho, labeling him a “very talented” player.

Though he has yet to score this season, his dribbling and overall game intelligence have stood out, suggesting he has the potential to become a complete midfielder with further development.

The move would represent a significant first step in the 49ers’ project at Rangers, signaling their intent to invest in young talent with resale value.

Should a deal be completed, Metinho could make an immediate impact in the Scottish Premiership and be a cornerstone of the club’s long-term ambitions.

At a relatively modest fee, signing Metinho could prove to be a shrewd piece of business as Rangers aim to rebuild and reassert themselves at the top of Scottish football.
