West Ham striker, 34, suffered a broken leg and other injuries in a serious accident involving his Ferrari FF in Epping.
The crash occurred last Saturday, and the player was airlifted to a hospital, where he underwent surgery.
Julen Lopetegui, West Ham’s manager, shared positive news about the striker’s condition, emphasizing that his recovery is expected.
Speaking about the incident, Lopetegui stated: “The most important thing is that he’s alive and in good spirits.
Although he broke his femur, he will undoubtedly recover. It’s just a matter of time.”
The manager, who is currently under pressure for the team’s performance, expressed mixed emotions about the situation.

He continued: “It’s a difficult loss for the team because he is an incredibly important player for us.
However, when you see the severity of the accident and the state of the car, we are relieved that he survived. That’s the best news of all.”
Lopetegui concluded with optimism: “He is strong and will focus on his recovery in the coming months.
