West Ham in Talks with Jonathan David’s Agent Over Potential Summer Move, Reports ExWHUEmployee.

Lille striker Jonathan David is set to be one of the most in-demand players in the upcoming summer transfer window, with several top clubs reportedly interested in securing his signature.
However, West Ham have already held discussions with his representatives regarding a potential move to east London when his contract expires at the end of the season.
According to Ex on The West Ham Way Patreon, “West Ham have met with the agent of Canadian forward Jonathan David to explore the possibility of signing him on a free transfer this summer.
While the chances of securing his signature remain slim, the club sees value in making an attempt.”
David is viewed as an ideal solution to West Ham’s need for a striker, though strong competition is expected from numerous clubs.
Another Lille player on West Ham’s radar is England international Angel Gomes, who will also be available on a free transfer.
However, securing Gomes is considered an ambitious target.
Additionally, Ex reports that the club is monitoring other soon-to-be free agents, including former target Kyle Walker-Peters from Southampton.
“The club is assessing several potential bargains among players out of contract this summer,” Ex added. “Walker-Peters is a name of interest—he’s a versatile defender who can operate in both full-back positions.
With Southampton likely facing relegation, a return to the Premier League could be an attractive option for him.”
Another intriguing prospect for West Ham is Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret, who could provide a solid goalkeeping option.
As the summer window approaches, West Ham’s recruitment team is actively exploring opportunities to strengthen the squad without hefty transfer fees, focusing on high-value free transfers.
