West Ham Confirms Michail Antonio is in 'Stable Condition' After Saturday's Road Traffic Accident

Antonio, 34, was involved in a road traffic accident on Saturday, December 7.
West Ham confirmed the news and provided an update on his condition.
The club released a statement on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “West Ham United can confirm that Michail Antonio is in a stable condition following a road traffic accident this afternoon in the Essex area.
Michail is conscious, communicating, and currently under close supervision at a central London hospital.

We kindly ask everyone to respect his and his family’s privacy during this difficult time. The Club will provide an update in due course.”
Earlier, the club expressed their support, saying: “West Ham United confirms striker Michail Antonio has been involved in a road traffic accident today.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Michail, his family, and friends. We will share further information when available.”
Photos circulating on social media showed a damaged Ferrari, believed to be linked to the incident in Essex.
Premier League clubs and fans quickly sent their well-wishes and prayers to Antonio.

Antonio, who joined West Ham in 2015, has scored 83 goals in 322 appearances for the club.
He had previously played for Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, and Nottingham Forest. At West Ham, he contributed to their Europa Conference League triumph in 2022.

This isn’t Antonio’s first car accident. On Christmas Day 2019, he crashed his Lamborghini Huracan into a bin shed at a family home in Balham, south London, while dressed as a snowman after losing control of the car.
