West Ham Receive Help Signing Brazilian Players – Tim Steidten’s Special Advisor

West Ham United's interest in Brazilian players has been evident in recent months, but only the signing of Luis Guilherme has been confirmed.

Premier League Brasil has shed light on West Ham United’s recent focus on South American talent, attributing it to an advisor at the club.

Former defender Naldo played a pivotal role in securing Luis Guilherme’s signing, leveraging his strong relationship with West Ham director Tim Steidten to recommend promising players.

Naldo spoke to Premier League Brasil about the transfer, stating, “Luis Guilherme has been outstanding for some time and has attracted interest from several clubs.

I got in touch with Nick Arcuri (Luis Guilherme’s manager), we started to draw up the negotiation, and in the end, it was good for both clubs.”

Naldo’s influence at West Ham extends beyond this deal. Last year, he suggested signing Yuri Alberto from Corinthians, highlighting his keen eye for talent. Although a deal for Yuri Alberto didn’t materialize, Naldo’s input was instrumental in identifying him as a potential asset for the club.

He also advised on Wesley, another promising player for whom the Hammers couldn’t secure a deal this summer, at least not yet.

With West Ham continuing to be linked to other Brazilian players, it’s clear that Naldo’s guidance is a significant factor in the club’s current recruitment strategy. His connections and insights into the South American football scene have provided West Ham with a valuable edge in identifying and pursuing emerging talents from the region.

This focus on Brazilian players seems poised to continue, driven by Naldo’s expertise and network.
