Leeds United have two additional players to include on their untouchable list.

Can anyone stop Leeds United from winning the Championship? As they head into Wednesday’s match against Millwall, the outlook at Elland Road is exceptionally bright.

With 26 points from 13 matches, Leeds is currently on an eight-match unbeaten streak, boasting eight clean sheets this season.

They have also achieved four consecutive home victories and suffered just one league defeat.

Remarkably, all this has been accomplished without key players like club captain Ethan Ampadu, Ilia Gruev, and Largie Ramazani.

Despite the absence of the £10 million summer signing Ramazani due to injury, manager Daniel Farke has a wealth of attacking talent to choose from.

Their impressive dismantling of promotion rivals Sheffield United at Elland Road last month sent a clear message to the rest of the league: Leeds is serious about their promotion ambitions this season.

“I walked into Elland Road that night [against Sheffield United] thinking I was probably watching the best two teams in the division,” Gary Rowett commented in the Football League Paper.

“And don’t get me wrong – I still think Sheffield United have a very good chance under Chris [Wilder].

But what struck me is that Leeds have so many attacking options; I would be very surprised if they didn’t win the league this year. Just look at their performance that night.

They started with a front four of Largie Ramazani, Willy Gnonto, Joel Piroe, and Brenden Aaronson.

Then they brought on Mateo Joseph, Dan James, and Manor Solomon. All three have played in the Premier League.”

Rowett also pointed out that they even introduced Patrick Bamford in the 90th minute—a player with international experience.

“It’s an embarrassment of riches,” he said.

“When you examine that front eight, each player could easily start for any other team in the league. That’s a daunting prospect.”

When Ampadu and Gruev both suffered serious knee injuries in quick succession, concerns arose about the team’s depth in midfield.

However, Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell have quickly shown their quality, forming a solid partnership in the center.

Leeds reportedly paid £3.4 million to sign Japan international Tanaka late in the transfer window, and he has been a revelation since joining the team.

His contributions, both defensively and offensively, have been noteworthy; he isn’t shy about making his presence felt.

Contrary to being just a ball-playing midfielder, Tanaka excels in every aspect of the game.

Farke will face a significant selection dilemma once Ampadu and Gruev return to fitness.

For now, it appears Tanaka and one other midfielder will hold the starting spots.

Additionally, the exceptionally talented Wilfried Gnonto has emerged as a key player on the wing.

Having started every Championship match this season, Gnonto has contributed two goals and four assists, proving to be a consistent force in the final third.

As he turns 21 tomorrow, it’s evident that he possesses talent that far exceeds this level of play.
