“West Ham Set to Smash Transfer Records with Jaw-Dropping £25M Swoop for ‘World-Class’ Striker in Potter’s Must-Have Masterplan!”

West Ham United Remain Interested in Evann Guessand Amid Kudus Uncertainty

West Ham United are reportedly maintaining their interest in Nice forward Evann Guessand as doubts continue to grow around Mohammed Kudus’ future at the club.

According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers considered signing Guessand in January and have retained their interest heading into the summer.

Manager Graham Potter is said to be keen on the Ivorian striker as he seeks to solve the club’s ongoing issues up front.

Guessand enjoyed an impressive 2023/24 campaign in Ligue 1, scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 33 appearances. While naturally a centre-forward, he offers versatility and is capable of operating out wide as well.

Guessand a Key Target for Potter’s Rebuild

West Ham are looking to bolster their attack following a disappointing season in front of goal, with Jarrod Bowen their top scorer on 13 goals.

The club struggled with injuries to Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug—who may be sold this summer—while Kudus’ role and future remain uncertain.

It’s believed the Irons will need to offload players before launching a formal bid for Guessand, who is valued at around £20–25 million.

Kudus could be the player to depart, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly in talks over a potential £60 million move for the Ghanaian, who underwhelmed under Potter.

Guessand, described as “elite,” is also attracting interest from Wolves, though West Ham could hold the advantage.

The club already has a strong relationship with Nice, having recently completed a deal for Jean-Clair Todibo—initially on loan and later made permanent for £32.8 million.
