Sky Sports Germany Reports: Leeds United Demand Over £12m for Rasmus Kristensen from Eintracht Frankfurt
Florian Plettenburg’s article [16 July] reports that Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt are considering a move for 27-year-old Rasmus Kristensen, with talks ongoing. The player has long dreamed of playing in Germany.
A deal is not yet certain, as the clubs have not agreed on a valuation. A loan move is also being considered.
Kristensen is set to return to Thorp Arch for pre-season training after featuring for Denmark at Euro 2024. Last season, he made 31 appearances in all competitions on loan at Roma.
Eintracht Frankfurt are keen on Leeds United right-back Kristensen, with interest confirmed earlier on Tuesday [Fabrizio Romano, 16 July]. The German club, qualified for the Europa League, is confident in Kristensen’s ability to handle a busy schedule, given his experience with Ajax, RB Salzburg, and Midtjylland in various midweek competitions.
Leeds’ financial situation has been bolstered by a high-profile Red Bull sponsorship deal and the recent sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham. However, the club remains eager to offload surplus players, and manager Daniel Farke was content without Kristensen last season.
It is still uncertain which returning loanees will reintegrate into the Elland Road squad, with Sam Greenwood, Darko Gyabi, and Sonny Perkins all agreeing to further loan deals.
