Jarrod Bowen Linked with Potential West Ham Exit as Graham Potter Prepares for Active Summer Window
West Ham are preparing for a major squad overhaul in what will be Graham Potter’s first summer transfer window at the helm.
Since his arrival in January, the 49-year-old manager has successfully guided the club away from relegation danger, with Premier League survival virtually secured.
As a result, the East London side can now shift focus to the upcoming season and the summer market.
A number of key changes are expected, with five players’ contracts set to expire.
Danny Ings, Aaron Cresswell, and Vladimir Coufal are anticipated to leave as free agents.
Michail Antonio’s future remains uncertain, as he will have to wait until the summer to learn whether he’ll receive a contract extension, according to The Times.
There’s also uncertainty over whether West Ham will bring in a new goalkeeper or offer a new deal to veteran Lukasz Fabianski, who turns 40 later this year.
Further departures are possible, with The Times reporting on Wednesday (16 April) that the club expects to receive interest in Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus, Emerson, Jean-Clair Todibo, and Luis Guilherme.
To strengthen the squad, Potter is targeting reinforcements in key areas: centre-back, left-back, central midfield, and attack.
The club’s willingness to entertain offers for players like Bowen and Kudus suggests they are prepared to sell in order to fund incoming transfers.
As two of West Ham’s most valuable assets, either departure could provide a significant financial boost.
Given their profiles, Kudus appears more likely to move on than Bowen.
Nonetheless, at least one big-name sale seems likely as Potter reshapes the squad to suit his vision for the club.
