West Ham United Interested in Signing Besiktas Attacking Midfielder Ernest Muci
A Turkish outlet reported on Friday, August 16, that a European club is expected to accept a transfer offer exceeding £11.9 million for Albanian player Ernest Muci, as they aim to offload him this summer.
Besiktas currently have an excess of foreign players on their roster and need to reduce this number to comply with the Super Lig’s squad restrictions as they head into the new season.
Julen Lopetegui’s side, along with Aston Villa, have shown interest in Muci, who joined Besiktas from Legia Warsaw in January.

Lopetegui and Tim Steidten have been very active this summer in revamping the squad left by David Moyes at the London Stadium.
Thus, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Hammers are considering a move for Muci.
The 23-year-old Albanian international has impressed during his brief time at Trabzonspor and could add an extra dimension to the Hammers’ squad both in attack and as a wide midfielder.
While Muci could provide cover for Lucas Paqueta, which would be beneficial given the uncertainty around Paqueta’s future, West Ham have already spent significantly on their attacking ranks in recent months.
Although a nearly £12 million fee is modest compared to what was paid for players like Crysencio Summerville and Max Kilman, it still seems a substantial amount for someone likely to be a squad player.
If Lopetegui and Steidten are looking to make further additions to their squad before the end of August, there are probably more pressing areas that need strengthening than the attacking midfield.
