McCallan Castles Signs With…

Former tight end McCallan Castles from the Tennessee Volunteers has officially signed with Priority Sports for representation as he looks to make his mark at the NFL level. Although Castles spent only a single season in Knoxville, Tennessee, his impact was substantial, scoring five touchdowns for the Vols. Notably, he holds the No. 8 position for fullback/H-back on Mel Kiper Jr.’s 2024 NFL Draft board.

Expressing gratitude for his time at the University of Tennessee, Castles has spoken about the significant contributions he made to a team in need of a reliable tight end. His performance played a pivotal role in various moments throughout the 2023 season.

While acknowledging his relatively short duration at Tennessee, Castles emphasized the profound impact the university and its football culture had on him. Reflecting on his best college football experience, he spoke highly of the people, particularly highlighting his close bond with teammate Jacob Warren. Castles expressed a sense of belonging in the college football space at Tennessee, citing the culture fostered by Head Coach Heupel as a crucial factor.

Quoting Castles after a victorious game against Vanderbilt, “Obviously, I wasn’t here for the whole time, but I came here for the football, but I always remember the people. This has been the best college football experience I’ve ever been a part of. I mean, this is my best friend right here (Jacob Warren). I spend every day with him just growing, but you know, I’ve never felt like I belonged more in the college football space than I have here, and I’ve made multiple stops, so I just think that speaks to the culture that these guys have built here with Heupel, and it’s a great place. Like, Tennessee is where you want to be to play football.”

As Castles embarks on the next phase of his football journey, securing representation with Priority Sports, he carries with him not only a promising position in the NFL Draft rankings but also a deep appreciation for the impactful experiences gained during his time at the University of Tennessee.
